Calvary Chapel Frederick School of Ministry is a TWO year program with weekly Biblical teaching. 

It is meant for anybody ages 16+ with a heart for a foundation in the Word and discipleship, a heart for serving the Lord in ministry, or anyone who would just like to grow and be encouraged in the Word of God. 

Study in the Word will take place one night per week at Calvary Chapel Frederick and will include weekly classwork as well as homework assignments. Homework will include things like reading the book “Calvary Distinctives” while listening through the Calvary Distinctives 2.0 podcast, reading Christian Classics for book reports, and listening through our Big Picture Survey of the Bible while taking quizzes on the teachings.  

For those interested in more than just attending classes there will be an opportunity to serve at the church through our internship program.

We will also encourage anyone who has not taken part in our One to One discipleship program to complete that at some point during your time in the School of Ministry.

At the end of the two year class program students will receive a Certificate in Theology and be celebrated with a graduation ceremony.

Application Process: To apply, you must fill out our application form provided below. You will also need two references to fill out the forms provided. The application deadline for the 2026-27 year is Tuesday, August 25th, so if you would like to attend we must receive your application by that date.

Cost: The cost for the 2 year program is $400 total. Which can be paid all at once or in 4 payments of $100 per semester.

2026 Fall Semester Classes:
Bible Study Methods (Sept. and Oct.): Students will be instructed in studying the Bible using the Inductive Study Method, learning to dig deeper into the Scriptures.

Genesis 1-11 (Nov. and Dec.): In this class we will be going over the first eleven chapters of Genesis, including the 6-day creation account, the fall of man, and the time of Noah’s flood, all from a Biblical worldview.
